The Queensland Government is backing local sporting clubs and communities with record investment in sport through the Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program.

More than 119 clubs and organisations are already upgrading the facilities where Queenslanders play, train and come together, with the program expanding so even more communities can benefit.

New investment in the Games On! Grassroots Infrastructure Program

Round Two of the Games On! program is built into two new funding streams – the Field of Play Fund and the Partnership Fund – to help sporting organisations and councils build and upgrade the local fields, courts and facilities Queenslanders use every day, backing local clubs and communities.

Support for grassroots club operations

Games On! will expand with a new Club House Grant to help grassroots clubs with the things they need most. Grants of up to $3,000 will support equipment, coaching and officiating courses, first aid training and new opportunities to get more Queenslanders involved in sport.

Assistance when clubs need it most

The Queensland Government will continue to back local sporting and racing clubs with recovery funding after natural disasters. The funding will help with immediate repairs so they can welcome their communities back as quickly as possible.
